Job Elias Omondi is the Finance and Operations Director for the HJFMRI Western Kenya office. He joined HJFMRI in 2016.
He oversees more than 20 research and non-research multi-year projects under the CDC Co-ag within different departments/programs and across counties with an estimated annual budget of over $20M as well as other collaborative projects funded through GATES foundation, Emory University, NIH, USAID, MUSC, GSK and other private funding supporting various research operations and direct implementation.
Job has over fifteen years’ experience gained on financial management, reporting and analysis, budgeting, audits, legal and regulatory compliance, procurement, logistics, internal controls, human resource, administrative functions and familiarity with USG regulations on cost principles and grants management in large and complex multi donor environment, has equipped me with high and technical skills to effectively manage the roles and responsibilities in finance and operations management.
Prior to joining HJFMRI, Job served as a Senior Accountant at Plan International, and was previously a Senior Accountant at World Vision Kenya.
Job received his Bachelors of Commerce – Finance from KCA University and his MBA from the University of Nairobi. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAK).
